Edwardian  The Kayser Taupe Silk Knit Ruffled Elbow Length Long Gloves
This pair of antique Edwardian era Kayser taupe silk knit ruffled elbow length long gloves date from 1910. They are made of a grayish brown taupe color fine silk jersey knit fabric, with three lines of decorative embroidered stitching on the front hand and pleated ruffles edging along the side. These womens gloves are a long elbow length, with three silk covered button snap closures stamped underneath "The Kayer USA" on the inside wrist. The gloves measure 20 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide across the top opening, 3 inches wide across the wrist. They are in good condition, with a few frayed holes on the finger tips (see close-up). These are truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable antique glove art!
