    ABOUT THE ARTIST
When Pat Singer decided to study art in 1975, a renowned art teacher was very impressed with her work and suggested she not take lessons, but rather rely on her own natural talent. Today, over 40 years later, she is referred to as a “naïve painter,” a “primitive painter” or an “Outsider Artist.”As in the tradition of Grandma Moses, Pat Singer is not concerned with perspective or anatomical preciseness as much as showing the warmth and excitement of everyday life. Her signature mark is to place herself in the painting as the artist painting that particular scene that the viewer is looking at. The American flag is also in every one of the paintings. She especially loves to paint New York City’s buildings and people. Her work has appeared on the walls of TV and movie screens - including Seinfeld and Anger Management. Macy’s featured her painting on the inside cover of New York Magazine to promote their July 4th fireworks celebration. She’s had her work sold in NYC’s most famous locations, including Macy’s, Trump Tower, Tavern on the Green, the NBA Store, FAO Schwarz, and the United Nations.
