This fine quality 'Mayubake' Eyebrow Brush is made in the traditional way with natural short, stiff bristles tied firmly into a split bamboo stem.
It measures 5½" (14 cm) in length and is excellent for applying eyebrow details as the short bristles allow you to 'scrub' the color into the hair of the eyebrows after they have been flattened with Taihaku or Ishineri wax. Red & black Stage Lining Color is used to produce an authentic Geiko's eyebrows.
It comes from a supplier located in the heart of the Gion Kobu District that has a long history of supplying Kanzashi and makeup items to the Maiko and Geiko of Gion. This is the very item they use.
NOTE: All of the opaque, white, 'SHIRO-NURI' makeup items as used by Geisha, Maiko and Kabuki actors are available in our eBay Store. We supply all of the professional items including makeup brushes. These are the real thing, exactly as used by the Maiko and Geiko of Gion.

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
